I announced a while back that as a club, we were teaming up with the Side-Out Foundation in effort to provide more research opportunities for Breast Cancer Awareness.
THE TIME IS HERE!
The Side-Out Foundation is an organization that is working to battle cancer. The organization works closely with volleyball teams at all levels, including high schools, middle schools, and even colleges.
The money this organization raises goes 100% to cancer research. I am sure most of us have lost someone to cancer or know someone who has. I wanted to take this opportunity to join their campaign “1000 Strong.” They are trying to get 1000 teams or groups to donate $250 to meet their goal. I wanted to let everyone know that I am opening this up for our club. I want AVA to be part of the 1000 strong in battling cancer. They will be setting up a website for our club as well!
THIS WEEK, PLEASE BRING $1 TO PRACTICE AND GIVE TO EITHER YOUR COACH OR TO ME. THIS ONE DOLLAR ALLOWS YOU TO WEAR A PINK T-SHIRT TO A PRACTICE DECIDED BY YOUR COACH IN SUPPORT OF THE ORGANIZATION!
If every kid participates, we will have surpassed their goal with ease!
Parents, if you are also interested in donating, please email me at suzy.boulavsky@avatexas.com and bring your donation to your child's practice.
